Young Eagles

Helping young people ages 8–17 discover the excitement and possibilities of flight.

What is the Young Eagles program?

Young Eagles is an EAA program that introduces young people to general aviation through a free flight made possible by volunteer EAA member pilots.

The experience can become a starting point for continued aviation learning, including EAA educational programs, scholarships, and other opportunities.

Chapter 585 offers Young Eagles rides during selected summer events and may also help arrange flights through chapter contacts.
